The "Hostages" mission in the Resistance has now become a FUBAR beyond measurable limits. At the start of the mission, I do what I used to, tell my men to hold fire and crawl towards the target area, well hidden, preparing to run in from the right myself and use cover until I get close enough to tell my men to target the guards at front and take out the rest myself with the Bizon. The UAZ cannot spot us as we are well hidden.
But guess what, as the UAZ passes by, I can hear that BMP closing in from the bridge. And even if I get up and run around and in from the right side, the BMP is still getting inside and park in front of the hostages!! If I run as fast as I can, the BMP will still be there when the shooting goes on, and kill us all.
I tried to wait and accelerate time x4 to see what happened with the BMP, but it just parked never to move again, in front of the hostages. I can't blow up the BMP as the blast will kill the hostages too, and I already have enough to do with all the guards.
Is this a patch 1.91 bug or something? The BMP and 2 other tanks I think, are supposed to move in when the shooting starts, not immediately! This happens every single time I start the mission.
Am playing the Res campaign over again, the "enjoying my coffee and relaxing while taking out the enemies one by one" way, but can move fast too when necessary, of course. But this is.. just too god damn annoying http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif
I tried taking out the UAZ driver earlier, so that the camp wouldn't notice I did it. But of course they did, in the common god-like attention way.
Am I the only one seing this?
BTW, I play in vet mode as usual.
