View Full Version : Problem: helmet visible

I'm having problems with a new helmet I made. All works fine, but inside the vehicle, the helmet and straps are visible. The strange thing is, the beret and ears are no longer visible, but the helmet and straps are.

I made sure that it is part of the selections:
- Mireni
- Hlava
- Head injury

I have had problems with eyes and mouth being visible before, but this has been solved (i think) by adding some section lines to the config.cpp

Helmet and straps have been created from scratch, but the beret has been created from a copy of the skull.

Can it be something I will have to add to the model, or is it something in the config.cpp ?

check the other lods, maybe lower res ones are being used when they are in the vehicle.

No, all LODs seem to be in order.

Eviscerator told me that my custom sections may be the cause of the trouble.

The problem is the helmet on/off function. The sections for "hlava" and my "helmet_on" sections cause some kind of conflict.

Back to the drawing board.

Problem solved.

I made the helmet straps into 1 sided faces, and made sure the 1st person viewpoint would fall just inside the helmet, so that you won't be able to see the helmet itself.

Thanks to all the BAS people for their help in finding the cause of these problems.
