View Full Version : Lod resolutions and zoom factor

I created an Excel sheet, to calculate LOD resolutions and OFP zoom factors.

These sheets produce estimates by comparing the numbers given by the user to the numbers in original OFP models. Maybe someone knows if there are any hard formula's for these calculations?

Anyway, maybe it is of some use to anyone.

The sheets are protected to prevent little mishaps, but I did not use a password. This will enable you to unprotect and fiddle around with it.

When calculating LOD resolution, you have to consider not only face/vertex count, but also model size. Rough idea behind resolution is size of some typical of the detail that is shown in the model.

Thanks for the input.
