another question to Fliper
Are you going to make SOPMOD and c-mag versions?
Very nice Fliper, I was thinking of adding a SOPMOD version with the 4x ACOG sight, it would be nice to have the rail system too with the front grip but I´m not sure if we can add a way for the soldiers to hold the weapon.
Anyway.. Good work
Adammo: the LODs 1 and 6 has some details added! And in original OFP there was no M4, only the XM177E2! So its all new http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Antichrist: you mean this: http://www.specialoperations.com/Weapons/M4.html?And whats a c-mag?
Lansen: the ACOG scope version is in work right now, about the front grip I dont know! I dont think we could make the soldier hold the M4A1 for its front grip...
Hey fliper. A C-mag is a hundred rounds magazine, it got two round drum magazines that come together in the middle.
It must be possible to add a way that the soldiers hold the weapons, I guess I have to make one for every soldier model but anyway... I´ll post some news when I figure something out http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

OK now I know whats a c-mag http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Can somebody post a pic of the double-magazine so I can see how to model it? TNX!

Flip, first of all: show them a pic of the scope i send ya http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Second: Make M68 in the same color as the M4! http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Hey Fliper nice guns you made. They look really great. But I would like them even more if you would add some signs of useage. Like dust, a little dirt, some scratches, you know what I'm talking about...
At the moment they look like you just took them out of the cellophane foil they were shipped in (and not like you just robbed 10 km through mud, thorny undergrowth and rocky cliffs). I think they would fit better to OFP if they don't look completely new (maybe I'm alone with that opinion). Anyways, good job!

Hey, Fliper, check this site for more info about c-mag
even some structural drawings
http://www.betaco.com/
Fliper, thats not a reflex sight you have made on the M4A1 with M68 reflex scope! Thats a red-dot sight, probably aimpoint. That one shows a little red laser dot in the sight, its not like a lasersight.
A reflex sight is something very different. I´m sorry I dont have a link to any pictures right now with reflex sights but I´ll post some when I find them.
If you look at the reflex sight on this image you see how it looks like. Its not a scope. Its used to be able to aim quickly at short ranges, like when a SWAT enters a house many of them use reflex sights because they are very good to aim with at short distances fast. I believe you dont actually aim with neither the aimpoint or the reflex sights, you "point" your weapon in the right direction http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ... You look at the target instead of the dot in the sight. In normal sights you look at the cross in a scope and so on.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Lansen @<hidden> May 09 2002,11:51)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">If you look at the reflex sight on this image you see how it looks like. It sounds like you never fired a weapon in real life.. the point by useing the reflex is not (as for SWAT) to shoot to kill but to netrulice the suspect (shoot at arms and legs) if you only point the gun in a general direction you risk hitting a crusiual part of your "target" as for militery use allmoste the same deal Red dot and reflex scope makes it easyer and faster to "get a beat on the target" than whit ironsights.
Hope this says it all... http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
i forgot...
Allso the point of using a red dot sight or reflex is that the operator isabel to shoot whit bouth eyes open. The dot look (from the shooters view) much like a laser dot but only the shooter can see it

Reflex / red dot shooter http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
What I wrote is actually true. I guess you got my point a bit wrong with the aiming. When I wrote point I dont mean just to actually point it in a direction, I mean that you do not aim as when you use a regular sight. You do not look at the dot in a red dot sight ,you look at your target. Thats why it can be used on a shotgun. When you shoot with shotguns you wont hit a thing if you aim, you must point.
Anyway... I guess that you dont understand what I mean and believe I´m wrong so never mind.
btw. I have ben shooting quite much in my life actually, I´ve ben in competitions and shooting both rifles and pistols. I was doing that for a couple of years until I lost interest. I also have hunter certificate, that means I´m a educated hunter. I have ben shooting with shotguns with and without aimpoint sights and I have also tested some different aimpont sights on regular rifles but mostly its a regular scope for me with 4 to 12x.

the point is that there is a "civilian" and a "army" way of shooting http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif ...and there is a "police" way
if you get me http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
And then there is my way... which consist of missing the target most of the time http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I love new full-auto sounds on the double magazine version!!!!! Can you add them to all the versions?
Sure - all M4A1s (except the supressed ones) will have that firing sound! What do you say about the M4A1+M68 version and the slightly reskinned and .CPP improoved M4A1+M203?

I used textures from the picture posted in this thread (that sopmod).
So don't get mad so easly (
OK, Desert Eagle there was a missunderstanding about the textures! And I didint got mad!! Dont worry - it was only an advise from a friend http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Double magazine reloading should be at least twice as fast as normal reloading, but currently it is the same
but when both magazines are empty it will take a bit longer to reload. That makes it every second reload should be fast and the others slow http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

I hope you all realise that making two different reloadtimes for the same magazine class IS IMPOSSIBLE in present OFP .CPPs!
