Can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong. I modeled a LARS in Milkshape and exported to 3ds format.
When I import it into Oxygen it says no elements in 3d file. If I try to open it directly in oxygen it gives me an illegal operation error and bombs out.

Any suggestions as to what I'm doing or not doing. I assume its the way Milkshape exports the data.

thanks in advance.

You could try saving as LWO or some other format, and convert it to 3DS with some converting application, such as 3dto3d ( http://www.stmuc.com/thbaier/download/3dto3dV35.zip )

I'm new to this kind of modeling, I hope you wont mind if I pick your brain from time to time.

I be modeling an A-6 intruder and if that turns out ok maybe
an F4 phantom..

Try Deep Exploration, it can be used feeely as tryout. It converts LWO for sure as it's the format I use from LightWave to import into o2
