FAMAS

After the last beta update with the new weapons, which don't seem to follow the 1985 deadline for weapons, the urge to have a FAMAS has been great. This is something I would really like to see added to the Multiplayer game.

On a side note, any body when making a mission accedently made themselves an non mobile object like a broken jeep or something? Strange thing happens and you can't do anything or even quit the game. Was wondering if they planed to fix that.

Personaly i would say the FAMAS G2 is by far more usefull than the M-16A2 and SA-80

And i belive strongly a pea shooter is more reliable than the Steyr Aug

you say a steyr aug wasn't around in 85, it has been in service for about 20 years now, but i supose the g36 is only there for german army mods and stuff.

I'd say go with the SA80 but it wouldn't really fit the plot as even if it was widened to include non-USA special forces, the SAS didn't use them at that time (too unreliable) so instead we need something that fits but is fresh and new... any ideas?

The weapon addon wasn't added by BIS for the campaign, more for our amusment, and I praise them for it. It isn't intended for campaign base mission and they will not be adding them into the campaign. Incidently the Steyr AUG entered production in 1978, so it was around. But he guns have no need to have been around in 1985, the G-36 was never made till 1995, I'm not sure about the Bizon.

On the subject of the FAMAS, I love that gun. I've just come back from France and I've just developed a new love for it, it is a beautiful weapon. But of course an L85A1 wouldn't go amiss, or even the new L85A2. And what about a L86, or a Galil, FN FAL, G3, etc...?

The FAMAS is cool, 1000 rpm, but a 25 round mag is gona empty a bit quick, but you can load M16 mags in now, can't you?

I want more sniper rifles, M82a1, Wa200, psg-1, Galil, L96, McMillan .50, etc , and more assault rifles G3, G41, Sa80, SKS (for resistance), M4A1 RIS, M14, M16A1, Valmet M79 or M76 Maybe some Sigs like the 550 or 551, some machine guns like the FN MAG, RPK, HK21, Minimi, M60e3 and more.
am I asking too much?

Everyone and their sister has an opinion about what the best assault rifle (or any other weapon system) of that era was. I say release as many of them as you can (allowing for "temporal correctness") and let the people who build the missions sort it all out.

I don&#39;t see why the hell you would want to use a famas in open area combat.

the weapon fires extremely fast, has only 25 bullets in the clip and personaly i think is more suited to urban warefare etc. i think it would be useless in flashpoint.

The M-16 had its fully auto option removed for a reason, and it has a bigger clip than the famas. now unless you are shooting elephants or you can&#39;t aim for shit, i don&#39;t see why you need such a fast weapon.

ok maybe in urban or close quarters conflicts. i still would like to see any legitimate sensible reason for taking a famas, instead of a Sa-80 or m4 or m16
