View Full Version : 3D Resolution Question...

What does the 3D resolution setting do? Is the game playable in 3D? I am confused. If I cannot play in 3D, what should I be setting it on to minimize load on my 2D play? How can I turn 3D off? I don't see that option.

3d resolution is for supersampling AA.
If the resolution you render the 3d world in is higher than your screen resolution, that information can be used for anti aliasing, but at the cost of performance. If it's lower, visual quality will suffer, but the game will be faster. I think the optimal setting is to have the 3d res the same as your interface res, unless your monitor resolution is rather low.
