View Full Version : Something strange in the IF.cfg file.
I was comparing the IF.cfg with the ArmA2OA.cfg and I came across this.
IF.cfg
3D_Performance=1500000;
ArmA2OA.cfg
3D_Performance=100000;
There is a big difference between the two. Is this normal?

They are both set the same on my end. I am using the exact same ingame options for both Iron Front: Liberation 1944 and ArmA II: Combined Operations.

Same here. With ArmA II CO running great, I used the same settings for IF, so the .cfg files should be roughly the same, but as you can see from the above they are not.
Why would IF detect my 3d performance as being so great?

It's roughly the same for me.
Cracked it.
It looks as if IF detects your localvram and nonlocalvram wrongly. Changing these to the values found in my ArmA II CO config file done the trick and has fixed the game performance issues I was having.

vram values were almost the same, but 3dPerformance was something under 100000.
what i forgot was to delete the cfg after patching. that was a tip back in the days when many players struggled with arma2...

They were exactly the same for me.

Just deleted both the ArmA2OA and IF configs and launched the game. They were both set exactly the same for me.
