Hi. I am trying to figure out how to use Tkoh picture in picture effects to create a rifle scope.
That way it should be possible to have zoomed in scope without the black screen surrounding it. Or am I misunderstanding things?
It should be simple to replace the scope lens texture with PIP. I will try it after work.
Anyone have any tips to share on PIP and getting it onto an existing bis scope?

I guess you will need to use the arma 1 example models. I think if you search the forum you will find some information on the pip materials.
In the community demo pip didn't work on unit weapons because of inheritance , it was possible to do this on a vehicle weapon I believe .
Hopefully things have changed . Basic rule is as long as the surface has a uv and hidden selection or nominated as a macro in O2 nominating a r2t, you can use a couple of way , see the thread in the editing section where someone made video walls and as above the bis wiki .

Thanks for the advice. after reading all the reference I am still unsure what the name of the texture of a weapons sight is . I am no programmer type so I don't think i'll figure this out ir it's it's even possible on non vehicles.
