View Full Version : Using IF technology in Arma2

Hey guys,

I know a lot of questions have revolved around using Arma2 scripting inside IF, but what I want to know is if I buy IF, will I be able to 'override' tank damage systems in Arma2? If the answer is YES, then I reckon you will get a lot of people interested in buying this, as it doesn't exist in vanilla Arma2.

So you just want the WW2 tank damage system for modern tanks in A2OA? Something like a magic damage/destruction "morph" just by installing IronFront: Liberation 1944? ;)

Not without some serious, serious work. You would have to create 3D models of the parts that fly off, do some serious coding and whatnot. Not as simple as just taking code from Iron Front and pasting it into ArmA II.

You can't just use addons from ArmA in Iron Front. Iron Front units can't be merged into ArmA. They might be on the same engine, but they are completely different games.
