pisss me off when the distrubuters do this , according to Ozisoft , it was never going to be released before the end of financial year.
EB told me 28th of June nad today now the 10th of july , I then rang ozisoft and was told the above..
PISSES ME OFF!!!!!

as you may have read in my other post about the pushed back release date for aussie ofpr.
Sorry about the other post Placebo , I forgot , was real pissed off with codelosers.
Unfourtunately ozisoft and CM are willing to blatantly lie to string people along, keep them going a few days, a few more days.
The amount of conflicting reports from them is insane, it was here, they were repacking it with aussie stuff over a week ago (like ozisoft fliers or rego or something), then it was not even in the country, then it was, then it wasn't....
Screw this...
Yeah the nob on the phone at ozisoft said , in the same breath "We dont have it yet, but we are shipping it today".
The guy at EB , after ringing Head office (he was that pissed with the amount of calls concerning ofp:r) this morning that when he called me back he said that EB were sick of dealing with this particular unrealible distributor.
but that there was not much that EB could do due to the fact that CM are in bed with Ozi, and the are the only CM dist. in Aust.

I've just got off the phone to various people at EB and Ozisoft.
New Release date = 18th July.
Congratulations must go to Ozisoft, and Codemasters. Good job on screwing yourself over.
I imagine a signifigant proportion of people in Oz are happily playing pirate copies of OFP:R.
Has anyone seen any advertising for OFP:R in Australia ? i haven't

I am quite annoyed. But surely not as much as BIS is.
I don't want BIS to suffer, because I appreciate they made this game. But why the HELL are they still letting Codemasters **** them up the *** ?
There is no advertising for this game, NOONE knows about it. I think I've done more advertising in Australia than Codemasters has.
Our release date is constantly being changed, do you realise that 70% of sales are gone now? Pirate versions are becoming available quite readily, you are **CKING yourselves over.

I wouldn't mention alternate sources of Resistance the moderators just love to close down threads criticising anything to do with BIS or Codemasters and discussion of alternate sources of software is usually their excuse for stamping down on non-conformist threads.
It is quite sad that we keep getting stuffed around, I just want to know what is causing this delay, if I wasn't getting a free copy sent to me I'd never pay for this software after being slapped in the face so often.

Well, the words from our "friends" at Ozisoft is the 16th (today). Ozisoft OFPR page (http://www.ozisoft.com/product/?action=view&id=903)
However, all the shops I called said as far as they knew it would be 18th at the earliest.
So I ring the Ozisoft hotline ($1 a minute, mind you) and get some slack jawed moron who says "I don't think it's out yet". When I informed him their website said it was today he says "Are you sure it was the Australian webite?". Yes, I replied, rapidly losing patience with this inept idiot who doesn't know his job or his product. "Oh, it will be out today then. I haven't heard of any delays" (That almost got a laugh from me). So that means it will be in stores today, I enquire... "Oh yes" our hero replies. So I call around all the stores again. Friday at the earliest is what I get everywhere.
Well Ozisoft, I would personally like to say that that you can kiss my ample ass. I am going to go out of my way to get resistance through an alternative supplier.

Basically they have dumped whatever stock they have left to us after giving it to priority countries.
It's trickling into Australia, get whatever copies you can, for myself, I'm done with this game. I will not pay for this kind of service.

Limited copies were made available to Australia. But NZ has been delayed further because the game hasn't been "rated" yet.

I noticed the north american release thread was closed, because apparently "everyone" has Resistance now.
While I do not give a toss about the accuracy of the moderator's statement I would rather just mention that New Zealand still do not have access to purchase this product.
The import was stuffed up and as yet Resistance has not been rated for sale. The Office of Film and Literature will fine anyone selling it. As to why they'd bother when it's the same game only some extra features i really don't know.
