It's supposed to round of the hands and weapons etc. But in reality it looks like s**te! Radeon 8500 is a good card but it's also cheaper than teh Ti500 because it's not as good of a product.
IMHO stick with Nvidia, by the time ATi gets their drivers up to "acceptable" Nvidia will have a new GeForce4 and a GeForce Family.

It smoothens out the edges of the models.
I'd rather see a high res texture pack, as 256x256 is as much as a voodoo 3 can do but anything else can do better, I want high-detail 512x512 textures instead : More people would be able to use 'em than the few who have the new Radeons.

I've seen truform in action! It looks great!

I do agree with the higher texture detail.
