Eurocopter AS350

Hi

I´ve found on web a great 3ds model from a Eurocopter AS350 for free

in the file are the textures included:cool:

the 3ds file can be opened with Oxygen 2:yay:

but the problem is, I am not the right guy, to bring this chopper in the game :rolleyes:

Good find, I'll see what I can do, I've just purchased ToH and need to experiment with it. I could get that into ArmA easily tho.

Problem are LODs, this model only has one and its killing fps.

making aditional resolution LODs from an existing LOD0/1 shouldn't be that hard. You can automate the process, just need to check each individual LOD for possible fuck ups when done :)

If one of the modellers of the community would manage to make this model TOH compatible it would be fantastic indeed!

A lot of other interesting choppers to be found on the same website by the way...
Probably all needing some rework (LODs to start with I guess)

The addon request thread is in the Take On Helicopters - Addon & Mod: Discussion thread AFAIK (http://forums.bistudio.com/forumdisplay.php?f=130).

Please use that one for requesting new addons.

If you wish to make a thread in that forum linking to FREEWARE models, please do so. Just make sure they are freeware before you post them, and post their licenses in a quote in the body of the post if you can.

Posting models that have licenses precluding addon development may risk infractions.

Hello Maxpower,

I guess my latest post came across differently than I meant...
I was not requesting any of these models to be converted to TOH but merely pointing out that there are a lot of other interesting projects offered for download on the website our friend AS350 discovered. :)

I unfortunately lack the talent/knowledge to do some 3d modeling stuff for TOH... I'm only good at working the virtual brushes to crank out some repaints. :o

Thanks for the forum link though as I will certainly remember it for the day I would want to post a request...
