Just a manager. You download games from there and that's it. Way less annoying and intrusive than Steam. You don´t even need to leave it running to play a game.

GMG is pretty nice with various deals and things, got Total War: Shogun from there pretty cheap among others. They've got this "trade in games" thing going on, but really that's sort of turned into a gimmick by now: very few games are actually tradeable, and most of them activate on Steam anyway. Still, they often have good prices, and you CAN get some OK deals there, and sometimes the trade-in stuff is even worth it!
