It was fun. Best part was when I got lost so bad that I was about one lap behind. :D But then I won two races^^

Thanks for the patch BIS!

It seems to fix the game crash while joining a dedicated server with at least 1 player already playing. To some degree at least, this needs more testing (later tonite).

Other than that, there is still the issue of clients not seeing any editor placed markers on the map (both hosted and dedi).
However - I noticed that one marker appeared when I completed an objective, firing the following trigger event:

"football_marker" setMarkerColor "ColorGreen";

And you still get the "deleted content" message on a server after mission has loaded; hsim_characters something.

The 'briefing.sqf' file still appears not to be read (= no Notes or Tasks).

I'm not sure if the above issues were targeted in this patch but I'm throwing them in here anyway

*edit*
Glad to see ping in the server browser! =)

Sprocket Only compatible, there are no more beta patches for Steam planned.

To explain: it is not very trivial to make it work through Steam and this close to release it would not help really anything. We need to focus very much on critical things for the full release next week.

In the "Downtown Derby" mp mission, if someone starts in the green heli they immediately crash everytime. Tried it twice and happened twice. If player switched heli to another colour, everything is fine.

Also I have the interface setting to small, some of the writing at the bottom of the screen is missing / cut off. This happens on various occasions.

So can I assume that there will be no release candidate for ToH and they are going straight from beta to final? It didn't work out too well for Eagle Dynamics. If there are still major bugs this late in the game, it's going to be an interesting release...

Are you new to the OFP/ArmA franchise..? (I consider TOH to be a part of this)

lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I installed the patch, and it really changed the appearance of everything. Interface size changed, color gone from splash screens. I started Ursa Major time trial and it was at night! I got into MP, some Swedish server, but didn't know what to do (no one else in there did, either, it looked like). That could have been Suburban Hell. I got onto some other server, but the helis wouldn't start up.

There's also a Windows security warning when I start the new ToH patch exe. It asks for admin rights, but if you click no, it still starts.

I should make the "lol jk" clearer, when even the CEO of BIS replies to me :o

Nice, thanks!:) Hope to have the time to try it the next days.
MP never worked for me (CTDs etc.), hopefully the patch for beta helps.
That worm is neat.:D

DirtyDeeds, do we have to download and install Suburban Hell before we can play on your server?

No, the mission file will be downloaded by Take On, so you just need to join the server and try not to crashland

This release is stable for me in MP. Before i could not play more then ~10 minutes without the game throwing a CTD.

Thanks, but what i meant was that with patch 1 the game works just fine in multiplayer. BEFORE patch 1 it did not :)

Here is my feedback on patch 1 so far.

- sun flares reflected from somewhere in the landscape e.g. lakes show up as litle white squares

- game crash directly after landing to perform refueling

system is:

AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 2800
4GB Ram
Nvidia GTX 460 (driver 285.38)
Windows 7 64bit

Tried the patch just now and noticed two things in multiplayer (Hi Dirtydeeds :icon_w00t:) that caused some problems:

- Had to enter every helicopter twice, first time would just rewind the get in animation immediately

- Helicopter positions weren't properly synched, I always appeared a few meters below my actual position. Hovering about 1m above the water had the light helicopter submerged up to the main rotor for other players.

Other things I learned: Don't land on a whale, it seems it can't carry the weight ;)

Just downloaded patch 2, let's see...

I like the new net code.

I was testing with a friend and he was using the spot light. (I was hosting) Upon changing from spot light view to back into the cockpit, he suddenly found himself ejected from the chopper...lol. Not all bad as at least he had a chute.
