Hi, I have done a ton of searching on google and now on this forum and I still cannot find how to find out what I am doing wrong. I have created some great missions, with objectives, waypoints, triggers, etc..., but when I save my mission it only saves as a .pbo, there is no folder with that missions name on it that is created. This is a problem because I need the scripts in the mission folder to edit the briefing and objectives, as well as add some cool scripts into description.ext. So what gives, what am i doing wrong?
Thanks.
Save the mission as a "User mission".
Look in your My Documents\Arma 2\missions\ folder

Hi edswarnok,
What your doing is exporting your mission to the missions folder, or the mpmission folder in the Arma2 directory.
What you need to do is save your mission as twirly said User mission.
Even if you had exported your mission as a spmission/mpmission you can still open the mission (pbo),
and add the scripts you need to add, but you will then need to move it to the following if you plan on reediting it:
Mission address
To find where the mission is saved at you will need to follow this path:
missions folder
C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\ArmA 2\missions
mpmissions folder
C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\ArmA 2\mpmissions
when you find the folder it will have the title of your mission and then the extension
of the island you built the mission on like for example:
Combat.takistan
Mission File
also when you open the folder what you will find is the mission file, but the file will say mission.
The mission file is saved as an SQM it wont have a title but "mission".
But if you have scripts and other files you need to add to your mission then those
would go in the same folder as the mission SQM.
hope that clears things up for you.
