View Full Version : How to change the compass size?

Hi,

I am running Arma 2 in 1920x1200 and the ingame 3d compass (not only the map screen compass) is too small. I am not able to read the numbers...

How can I change the size. I have seen some gameplay videos in which the compass filled (when "k" is pressed) the whole screen.

Hi,

There is a mod you can use to increase the compass size. Look in this (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=1680011&highlight=compass#post1680011) post.

double tap on compass in map menu
search for compass addons @<hidden> newssites (armaholic.com/armedassault.info etc)

Thank you. I was afraid that you need a modification for this. Me and my friends use, unfortunately, Arma 2 Free. It does not support mods.

Is there any way to change it in the original game? Is it possible to display the compass degrees anyway?

original game = ArmA2 not ArmA2 Free. The only way to change it is via addons.

In the ingame video settings, increase the 'interface size' setting.

Thank you DukeNukeM. This is actually working. The downside: the whole interface and not only the compass gets very large (unit icons etc.)

You do have one option....

Buy Arma 2 CO! This way you get your big compass because you can use the above mod. You then have access to the hundreds of other fantastic mods around. You support BI and allow them to continue improving this game and making more great Arma games!

Fan Boy? Hell yes!

You're welcome. I forgot to mention that when i answered your question. :o
Even the main menu items also get bigger.

But yeah if you want the full experience and all the cool mods, buy the game and support the developers! :p You won't regret it.
