help with serial key

I have a serial key but i dont have the game, i have just the serial (it's a legit key). what should I do? i want to play the game. i have to download it? where?
i tried to activate it on steam but doesnt work.

Buying just a key is not legit cause those key sellers are selling keys BIS never released.
Only companies which sell you the full game accompanied by a key could be considered legal.

Contact your key seller and ask him to provide you the game, which I can already promise you they wont be able to meaning they screwed you over. Never ever buy just keys, you have just lost your money.

Go buy the full game on Sprocket, or Steam, or Amazon etc.

A simple search would have given you this reply as there are many topics about the same and everyone who bought just a key lost his money.
