What 3D program does everyone use? Am I the ONLY Lightwaver?

My hopes for oxygen were pretty much gutted by a lack of LWO import support, all of the models I was making for my various projects were a complete waste. Deep Exploration screwed them up upon conversion and I know no-one with 3DSMax.

Lightwave and 3DS hold a pretty much even market share for home users (Last time I saw a comparative list of 3D programs) and it seems a tactical error to exclude this very popular (and in my opinion vastly superior) program.

I personally detest the interface for Oxygen and find it to be overall pretty crap as a 3D modeller. I was HOPING to be able to use it as a P3D convertor but now this seems impossible.

Please vote & show your support.

I formally used MilkShape as it imported/exported *.OBJ files which I used with OBJ2P3D etc.
Now I actually use Oxygen and I dont see anything wrong with the interface. From my point of view it gets the job done so why moan....

*plants "Lightwave" flag in this thread*

I use LW7.5 and its great. If OXY had .lwo support that would rock. HuBBa asked if OXY could support plugins, because he was willing to make one for it. But, no one from BIS had responded to it. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif Hopefully we at least get an answer. Sitting here wondering is driving me nuts.

And Deep Exploration messed up your models? It works great for me. Although, i only have 1 day left on my trial http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif !!! So, I don't know wtf i'm going to do after that. O well.

I use 3ds max 3 (I got it for free, and that is pretty much the only reason) to make my models, then just export em in 3ds. Simple. I don't really like making stuff with oxygen, but I think the texturing system is great

trueSpace for its lathe and extrusion features. All texturing and lower LOD detail done in O2.
