As in title. What is best SoundMod in Your opinion? What I'm looking for is SM that focuses on realism, not "cool sounds". And it's very important that it contains realistic sounds for Eastern weapons, as I usually use them. Nice sounds for West are good things too, however it's not necessary.

RWS, JSRS, SOA, ACEX_SM, try them all yourself, everyone has an opinion, no point asking this.

I'm very impressed with the JSRS vehicle sounds. The gun sounds and explosions are ok, not amazing though. Some are a bit sharp or thin sounding.

I have yet to try Opticalsnares, what's that called?

How about searching the forums instead of posting new threads about subjects already been asked and discussed about.

JSRS 1.3 is pretty good, I use a mix of ACEX SM's distant sonic cracks and explosions, RWS's weapons and near sonic cracks, and JSRS for environment and vehicles. Just load them up together and if there are any conflicts you can just remove stuff by using pbo view to unpack them and remove the bullet hits or something.

Does that make you feel better? Posts like that are worse than not searching imo...

I tried Opticalsnares, pretty good so far, thanks for the info

you want a link, its not worse, it stating facts, if the rules were followed then we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I'm looking around for new sounds myself, so far I have JSRS (Weapons, Vehicles/Vehicle Weapons, and environment/movement), RWS (Certain Weapons, sonic snaps [Waiting for his explosions]).

Thank you for your responses, I'll try them. And Gunter, I did a quick search but didn't find anything. Maybe I should've use different words, but it's not that I had a question and I came here to spam haven't put any effort before.

No worries, search can be tricky if you dont have the right words, sorry i can be harsh when it comes to rules,
I'm a real stickler for rules, plus personally I dont care to have to sift through the forum amongst posts asking questions already asked,
but granted there are posts from way back that are hard to find.

Hope you find the sound mod/s that fit your style of play. :)

No problem, I understand you! :) I also usually stick to rules pretty closely and people are sometimes annoyed by this fact, but that's the way I do. :p I just wanted to point out that I searched for a bit before, so you won't think about me bad. Have a nice day!

@<hidden> this Q&A forum section is relatively new, so in fact even though its a duplicate question and fragmented all over the forums, its to the point and is a good place to put it for the all new Q&A id say.

Lets face it:

Everything you wanted to know about OA, but were afraid to ask, ask hereBit unfair to slam a poster, obvious this section will have new players with repeat questions, that's the nature of its existence from what I can see.

To sublink for the purpose of Q&A here's a big long thread discussing this area from 2010:

http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=106410&highlight=soundmod (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=106410&highlight=soundmod)

Also check my sig "Addon/Mods Help Thread (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=96591)" ... this lists a sound section too at the bottom of the OFP under sub heading 2.7.9 Sound Effects Replacements.
