I know we can use ctrl c/v, but having a rightclick menu with cut, copy and paste in the various text fields would be very nice in Arma3 editor, also would be nice in A2 aswell, hint, hint..

I don't know. I can't imagine why cut, copy, and paste would be important. For right mouse button functionality in text fields, I'd rather have list of possible entries which I can select from. If I type in the letter b, then right clicking brings up all commands on b, and all loaded function calls that start with b (possibly marked with a star to indicate external function rather than script command).

... and with that, how about an integrated script editng tool? :) script is saved in the mission folder.
Cut, copy & paste are very important, just in case that statement wasn't ironic ;)
I'd like the ability to group selected objects/units, and rotate the whole lot as one. Good for encampments etc.

Can't you do that now by holding Shift?

I just use the hotkeys; Control-V, Control-C, etc. But yes, it would be nice to see more detailed and improved dialog menus in the editor.

I would like to see a possibility to selct the units gear without scripting, just by bringign up the Select Gear Screen

Its not so important by all means, just a nifty tool for the quick editor gamer.
Sometimes when im bored and lazy i play around in the editor. (is there any other way with arma?? )
Being forced to actually use the other hand to press ctrl v on the keyboard on those VERY lazy days is the time i always wish for the rightclick menu, cut, copy, paste..
Just simple like in wordpad or something.
I can ofc bind ctrl c/v to a extra button on my mouse and such but a menu would be nifty, could also contain several future upgrades in menu like show description and example of current highlighted command etc....
for the possible entries we already have auto complete wich imo works really well, but a complete list via a pressed hotkey and the first letter, like b or something would be nice as well.

for this a menu button in the place unit window with a sort of "magic box" with all active addons, weapons and ammo/items backpacks etc would be really nice indeed.

That's been a day one feature I believe. I know I've been using it since OFP. Can't believe you could be a serious editor and not know about it. :p

In other words, he just wants to be able to easily copy/paste while jerking off. Quite a valid reason if you ask me.

Know what I'd also love to see?
1. Improved command set
2. Icons showing stance and formation
3. Ability to completely micro-manage formation, weapons firing choice per AI sub-ordinate (including frag and smoke grenades)
4. Ability to way-point and set actions per way-point for AI sub-ordinates
5. Point and click/drag with mouse instead of using key-board to set commands
6. Better target identification and call out.

An automatic drop down menu for autocompletion when typing scripts would be nice for starters. But it doesn't necessarily have to rule out a right-click context menu for simple text operations.
