Looking to buy some server space in the UK could anybody recommend any

in terms of dedicated what specs would i need ie dual quad, ram etc..

other option (the realistic option for me) is buy some slots with max of 12/18 at moment.

done lots of searching and found these guys, seem to know there stuff

have used http://www.ukgame.com/ before and seemed ok as well

down side of slots is i want to run the latest ace etc so would mean uploading all the files each week

Never had any probs!

thx for the info, i did look at these guy before however this bit put me off


1GB modification (mod) and map space

As needed about 3gig of space

If its a dedicated you want then that wouldnt apply buddy... you have around 80 gig to spare with alpha, we use them also.. never had a problem

a quad 6600 Dedicated matey.... full access etc etc...

thx for the info i ended up going with these guys http://www.lrc-gaming.co.uk just a 12 slot on a linux server though if i ever have problems i'll check out alpha

I highly recommend Alpha Networks if you want a dedi. I've had several dedicated servers with them for a few years now. Never had a problem. Ever.

Seems the 1Gb has changed :cool:


It has been brought to our attention that our game servers (Game Servers) have a very strict Mod size limit and for ArmA/ArmA2/ArmA2OA/ArmACO, 1GB is just not big enough!

These rules unfortunately have been left in from the days of counter strike 1.5.

From now on the mod limit will be 10GB. For ArmA games we will also agree to more if you require it.
