Hi guys,
i have a qestion,
i got some games: Flight Simulator X or HAWX
is there any tool to export the planes from these games to arma 2?
ps: i didnt know where i have to ask someone so i am sorry...:confused:
First, there's probably no easy way to do it because you'd have to modify the model some to make it work in arma as well as write a good config file for it and stuff.
Second, I think there'd be legality issues with what you're asking to do.

or which tools i need or any good tutorials.
i just want to make a F/A-18 Superhornet with afterburner and tailhook for your USS Nimitz.
i dont care if it will take over a month but i will do it.
I think a few teams/mods being worked on will have an F18, I know for sure PRACS will have one, if you want to save yourself the trouble of modeling another. And whenever you say you "just" want to make something, it's more than just "just" (wow that sounds weird). You need to model it, unwrap it, texture it, animate it, write the config and scripts for it. It's a decent process but obviously if you want to get into it the first step is learning to model... something I wouldn't start off with by making something complex like a modern jet. There are many tools and many more tutorials you can look up for it.

I agree. I am wondering the same thing. I want to use a 737. I think some addon creators should make 737's. Its about time someone does. I am surprised someone made an An-225. That shocked me :D
Didn't expect anything that big in arma 2. Its awesome :D

No offence but it sounds to me that you are drastically underestimating the workload to create an addon.

R U serious? Since you're asking for a tutorial and which tools to use, it would you take at least one month to get used with the needed tools, let alon the creative process. Regarding your actual knowledge i would set a timespan somewhere between 6 months and a year.

The PRACS F/A-18 will not be released to the public following some major issues regarding ownership of the model. It basically 'got' to the creator of the mod and so he is now not releasing it with the rest or Project RACS... Anyway the ANZAC Super Hornet is still being released according to Crash. He gave me an approximate date which I swore I would keep to myself. But it is due soon. Also FDF have one in the works, no idea when thats due. But hopefully soon, then we can have single and twin seater versions. I personally don't give a damn about whats written on the plane's wings. I just want to fly it from Jdog's unbeleivably AWESOME USS Nimitz!

Actually, there was/are no issues regarding ownership of the model. Everybody knows it's Franze's model, as are Crash's and Meatball's. The issue was more along the lines of people pestering him to release it/delete the racs version/only make a usmc version, etc.
