ok I don't really have a mod. I'm more of a free stylist. But I am willing to put my vehicles into someone elses mod.

I think it is a good idea to release vehicles as a group so that someone can just ask. did you get the so and so mod?

knowing if they did that they can play a mission.

Also I think it a good idea if we all here BETA TEST each others vehicles before they are released in the mods.. I found this out by releasing the m101a1.pbo cannon that has a little bug in it..(cant kill the crew without killing the cannon, I have since fix this) if i tested more.. i might have found it sooner.. its very HARD to tell people to "get the new version" once its been released.

I am working on the following:

C-130 cargo plane 80% completed
Spas-12 shotgun 98% completed
Oh-6 chopper 70% completed

You don't need to ask if we are interested. Of course we are. So post some pictures (links to pictures) please.

About that beta-testing I agree with you. And about those addon-collections, good idea, but maybe hard to realize.

I think so it does have good size. As far as i remmeber it was longer or almost same size like M-16.

Good job man! I'm looking specially forward to see that C-130 in the game. Did you get some good interiour referrence pictures for cockpit and rear cabin? Thats quite importand I think. Actually I've got no real critics about your model, since you said it's work in progress. Only thing I would take care off a bit more are the propeller- and engine-cases (boxes?). And the gear. But you will probably do that anyways. Also I would suggest to create an uni-coloured version as well, as it would fit better into an european scenario (I dunno about the real camo, but thats what I think at least).

ok i was thinking of releasing my first MOD number.
I will put a number after it and when I release something else I will just increase the number by one, each number will have the old units and any updated units and new units.

I will not email you, but post some test-results in here:

First of all, everything is nicely done&#33; I did not find any major bug or something like that. Just a few minor things.

1) Droid bleeds when shot. Maybe you can fix that in cpp-file.
2) Woman looks pretty skinny (thin). Too much thin if you ask me (legs are like matches).
3) Muzzle flash of shotgun is always visible with HWTL (that ol bug).
4) and finally a suggestion for droids. Make two of them. One for east, and one for west, and give them different markings like on the picture i&#39;ve added for instance:

I might as well put my comments here too

1. Blood coming out of the droid. Should remove that or just change the colour
2. Why is the droid greenish? Why not yellow all over?
3. Face clipping with weapon when in upright position
4. HWTL Muzzle bug with SPAS12
5. No blood textures on FBI guys
6. When I pick up a different weapon when I&#39;m carrying SPAS12 I can&#39;t pick up SPAS12 again
7. That&#39;s it for now.... but I will be looking

Should be fixed in config [any good scripters out there that would like to try and fix this?]

So I checked that in the game again to be sure, and realized that all of your units don&#39;t have a shadow. As far as I know the shadows are generated from a low-detail-LOD. If it&#39;s like that you should be able to easily fix that.

That you cannot see units through a window of a vehicle if you ain&#39;t in the vehicle yourself does not only concern the FBI agent, but all units in the game. So it&#39;s kind of a major bug.

Off course the Droids and all other stuff made/invented/developed by others (especially Star Wars stuff) is protected by copyrights. Even if you import the original OFP vehicle/character models (like Black Hawk for instance) into O2 and alter them, BIS could say "stop that" if you release it. So if you release the droids officially it could happen that you receive an email from Lukas Arts with a demand to stop it. Actually I don&#39;t know if they care about thinks like that. But you never know. Just be aware of that.

Here is an update on the mod thus far:

The seeing units thru windows issue is:
An OFP bug with alpahtransparent textures sorting

The issue with the spas12 and unable to pick it up is:
The ammo and the weapon are named the same in the config.cpp file and needs a different name.

The droid now have been texutured for differant side
A surprise on what they look like :)

I&#39;m not worried about copyright because they were ripped from Counter strike .. and so far they dont care..Just probably cant make money on it.. but that okay I already signed a NDA that said I wouldnt anyway.

shadows.. ok thats a new one.. You guys are great.. look at all the bugs that are being fixed before it reaches the public :)

the SPAS12 flash bug.. i haven&#39;t worked on that one yet..But I thought i saw Marek post about it on this forum.. somehting about the config.cpp classes.

WISH LIST:
Bi to make a small program that creates config.cPP files for us.
We load up and use drop downs.. point to the models and hit the CREATE BUTTON.. DONE..
please oh please :)

Regarding LODs:

I think it&#39;s both bad and lazy not to make LODs for your models. First off, the game uses the LODs for shadows, but more importantly for easing up game resources.

Imagine a battle with tons of stuff. one of your soldiers is standing 100 meters away. because he has no LODs, he will be in max resolution at all times. Even when 1 pixel big on the screen. This will make all the soldiers in the foreground jump to low LODs, to compensate for the resources stolen by the unit far away - very very bad, I think.

P.S. Just been messing around with addon again and noticed that when in first-person inside any air vehicle FBI mask get is a way&#33; U can see the mask in front of your eyes..... well at least parts of it

P.P.S. I reckon that SPAS12 is just too powerful, should make much weaker. 5 shots and BRDM is disabled&#33;&#33;&#33;

P.P.P.S. Doesn&#39;t reaload SPAS when kneeling and lying on the ground

I think I will just remove the flash from the shotgun..I don&#39;t think I have much of a choice here..I can always add it back later when I have another release.

Beta test time..

I believe this will be the release unless there is a really big problem.
I resolved all the bugs except the shadow one and the low poly one...
I don&#39;t have tons of time to work on this stuff.. so here it is:

the pesky cannon bug crept back in.. so i fixed it again...

also the spas12..uses this:
reloadAction="manactstoprelaxed";

to reload with.. the problem with that is you can only reload the shotgun while kneeling or standing but not laying down..
any ideas?

Adammo: first of all - I liked your addons, specialy the FBI SWAT Team (and not FBI Soldiers - this sounds strange&#33http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif and the funny-looking war-droids:)

Here is my Second mod release.

This features a number of new characters plus a brand new SPAS-12 shotgun

This also features an update on the M101A1 cannon.. so when installing this please overwrite the old M101A1.

Ive pretty much finshed the cockpit area.. i might add a little bit more.. but maybe not..

Nice work&#33; Hope I&#39;ll get that bird into my hands fast. But to be honest, I think you should redo the cockpit again. The textures of the control panels could be more sharp and the cockpit could get some more overall detail. I think most of the computers can handle that extra polygons. But still I like it a lot. Go on with your work.
